Monthly bookkeeping for self-employed owners

The bookkeeping arm
built for people
who hate bookkeeping.

Serving Northern Virginia, DC, and Southern Maryland. A boutique, principal-led monthly bookkeeping practice — flat fee, no jargon, clean books by the 10th of every month and a stress-free tax filing at year-end. Jasmine Rose keeps the work principal-led from fit-check through the clean-books-to-tax handoff.

Who this is for

Self-employed, gig, and multi-member LLC owners who'd rather pay someone than learn QuickBooks. Not first-time filers with a clean return.

1099 contractor drowning in receipts

Multiple merchant accounts and 1099 contracts, expenses scattered across cards, and quarterly reconciliations that never quite finish. A flat-fee monthly cadence replaces the quarterly scramble.

Single-member or multi-member LLC

Books a year behind, sales tax missed, K-1s flowing through before the entity catch-up. We bring the books current and keep them current.

Self-employed professional who hates the software

QuickBooks never stuck, spreadsheets are brittle, and reconciling monthly is the chore that always slips. We take the books so you take the calls and the billings.

Practice areas

Monthly bookkeeping.
Supported by tax when you need it.

The bookkeeping retainer is the headline. Tax prep, planning, and resolution stay available for the same clients — and for walk-ins who need them.

Flat monthly fee · Books-to-returns continuity

Monthly bookkeeping retainer

Bank and merchant-account reconciliations, monthly categorization, sales-tax filings, 1099 prep, owner draws, and a single staff contact who knows your file.

Fixed scope · One-time engagement

Catch-up & clean-up

Books a year (or three) behind brought current and reconciled — without redoing the work twice. Often the first step before a monthly retainer can begin.

Per quarter · Optional retainer bridge

Quarterly review

No retainer? Quarterly check-ins catch what monthlies miss: estimated-tax cadence, owner draws, and category drift before it becomes a year-end problem.

Bundled with retainer

Year-end books-to-returns handoff

At year-end, your clean books feed tax prep directly — no re-entry, no scramble, no surprise balance due. Filing is included for retainer clients.

Also available — tax when you need it

  • Return preparation

Individual, multi-member LLC, and 1099-heavy returns prepared by credentialed staff (CPA/EA/equivalent). Catch-up filings for prior years.

  • Tax planning

Forward-looking strategy for self-employed owners — entity structure, estimated-tax cadence, and retirement contributions aligned to cash flow.

  • Representation & resolution

For clients already carrying a balance: penalty abatement, installment agreements, and representation before federal and state authorities.

How it works

From sign-up to
clean monthly books.

The work is structured so the cost is known in advance, the file has an owner, and the deliverable is a monthly close — not a number of hours billed.

  1. 01

    Fit-check intake

A short intake (name, email, a sentence about the business — 60 seconds). We reply within one business day to confirm whether a monthly retainer is the right fit before any documents change hands.

  2. 02

    Engagement letter

A one-page, flat-fee engagement letter spells out scope, the monthly amount, and what is and is not included. Signed before any document is requested.

  3. 03

    Catch-up & onboarding

If the books are behind, we close the gap first. Then we connect the bank and merchant feeds, set up the chart of accounts, and assign one staff contact to the file.

  4. 04

    Monthly cadence

Books closed by the 10th. Reconciled, categorized, sales-tax-ready. You review a one-page summary; the underlying detail is always one click away.

  5. 05

    Quarterly review

Every quarter we sit down with the numbers: estimated tax, owner draws, and any category drift before it becomes a year-end surprise.

  6. 06

    Year-end handoff

Clean books feed tax prep directly. For retainer clients, filing is included — same firm, same staff, no re-entry.

Engagements

Two ways to start. One flat-fee letter before any work.

Track 01

Bookkeeping retainer

Monthly cadence for self-employed, multi-member LLC, and 1099-heavy businesses.

Engagement begins

Flat monthly fee · Books-to-returns continuity

Engagement letters are signed before documents are requested.

  • Bank & merchant-account reconciliations each month
  • Sales-tax filings, 1099 prep, owner draws
  • Year-end books-to-returns handoff — filing included
  • A dedicated staff point of contact

Track 02

Tax services

Return prep, planning, and resolution — for bookkeeping clients and walk-ins.

Engagement begins

Per return · or fixed-fee engagement

Engagement letters are signed before documents are requested.

  • Return preparation (current & catch-up)
  • Quarterly planning and estimated-tax cadence
  • Representation & resolution for prior balances
  • Existing tax clients get priority onboarding into bookkeeping

Same file, same firm

When you're ready for taxes, your books are ready too.

Filing is included for retainer clients. Existing tax clients transition into the bookkeeping retainer with priority onboarding — one staff member owns the file from intake through year-end, and the numbers don't get re-entered twice.

For walk-ins with a balance due, a notice, or a return that never got filed, the same firm handles the representation — coordinated with the books so the next year does not create the same problem.
